great fun January 1, 2010 Mr. G. Williams 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
bought this for my son for Xmas. He loves it. Put it together in 10 mins and really easy to use. The cars are fairly durable. They have suffered one or two minor bits of damage but still run perfectly.
Brilliant! January 9, 2010 A. S. Walsh (uk) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The track was easy to assemble and the cars have proved to be durable at the hands of a 7 and 11 year old who are trying to power slide round corners and jump as far as possible on the ramp. Luv it!
Superb fun January 3, 2010 S. Martin (UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This scalextric set arrived complete and in full working order.
The cars are very robust - My 3-year old daughter has had several full-speed crashes and no damage has been incurred (so far)!
I have scored 3-stars for "Educational" as my 3-years old daughter loves playing it and I believe she is learning the fine control of the throttle and the concept of remote control. Also, the competitive element and playing together is a great way to spend time.
It's a decent size track too - not too big or small. It has some interesting features (ramp, narrowing lanes and tight bends) so it should keep the players interested for a good while. You may want to consider going for a digital set. They are a bit more expensive, but have even more playability factor. But I doubt you'll regret buying this set.
Need for Speed April 26, 2010 E. Rawlins This was a birthday present for my 8 year old boy, its fits togeter fairly easily and quite quickly you are racing, it took a little while to get the hang of the jumps but you can start with the ramps close together and then seperate them as you get more experienced, all together a great basic scalextric starter model.
Good Fun March 1, 2010 Mr. A. Jamal (Northwood, England) Found this gem, its a little expensive, but works really well, the only thing which would be great if they changed, is the contacts on the cars, i would have thought some kind of looped metal with a spring would have been better, but the good thing is they give you some spares. The jump in the track is hard to set at the right distance first time, it takes a couple of tries to get it spot on, this is hours of fun for my nephews.
